William V. Swigert, Sr.

William V. Swigert, Sr., 85, a lifelong resident of the Glen Burnie and Pasadena areas died on December 15, 2020 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

He was born in Ohio on December 16, 1934 to the late Ernest and Helen Swigert.

Mr. Swigert worked for Nabisco in Baltimore for over 30 years before retiring in the late 1990s.  In his younger years, he spent a lot of time volunteering with the Havenwood Association, where he also coached recreation league baseball. After retiring, Mr. Swigert enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son William V. Swigert, Jr.

He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Murphy and her husband John of Odenton, several siblings, and his grandchildren Garrett and Samantha Murphy, and Maddie Swigert.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
