William Thomas Reed, II

William Thomas Reed II, 93, a 24 year resident of Kent Island, Maryland,  passed away Monday, June,  17, 2024 in his home, surrounded by family. He was born on May 25, 1931, the son of the late Raymond August Raap and Emma Kennedy Reed Raap.

Tom grew up in Woodlawn and attended Catonsville High School.

Prior to moving to the eastern shore in 1999, he resided in Pasadena, Maryland with his wife, Winnie and 3 children. 

Tom spent most of his career driving a tractor trailer for U.S. Steel. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends,  attending Bible studies and mens groups, reading, water color painting and working on cars.

He was a member of Community Gospel Church in Pasadena, Maryland and New Life Christian Outreach in Chester.

In addition to his parents,  he is preceded in death by his wife, Winifred Chaney Reed; his brothers, John "Jack" Reed Raap and Douglas W. Reed. He is survived by his 3 children, William "Bill" Thomas Reed III, Michael "Scott" Reed (Terry), Barbara Lee Reed White (George), 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and one brother, Dr James S. Reed.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday,  June 25th, at 1:30pm at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie.
