William Arthur Ditch, 90, a 17 year resident of Ridgely and formerly of Pasadena, MD, died at his home on October 9, 2021.
Mr. Ditch was born on September 27, 1931 in Islin, PA to the late Clyde and Elizabeth Ditch. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps before eventually beginning a long and successful career with the Federal Reserve Bank in Baltimore. He retired from there as a Supervisor in the late 1980s after over 40 years of service. Bill was a past member of Pasadena United Methodist Church, the Arundel Lodge of the Eastern Star, and the Glen Burnie Masonic Lodge #213, where he was Worshipful Master in 1982. In his younger years, he enjoyed visiting the shooting range and playing softball. More recently, he loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Ditch is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Audrey Ditch; brothers, Robert E. and Burnell A. Ditch; sister, Rebecca N. Schrader; and grandson, Scottie. He is survived by his daughters, Donna Lee Lindgren and Terri Lynn Powers; 2 grandchildren, Mike and Billy; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit on Monday, October 18 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m. at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Rd., Pasadena, MD 21122 where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 19 at 10:15 a.m. Interment will follow at the Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
