William C. (“Bunky”) Waldecker III, 60, a lifelong resident of Pasadena, MD, died on Monday, May 29, 2023 at University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
Mr. Waldecker was born on Friday, July 27th, 1962 in Batlimore, MD to the late William Waldecker Jr. and the late Frances Waldecker. An expert tradesman, he worked as a lifelong foreman in welding and pipe fitting. He loved jamming out to his music and attending music conferences. He also loved skateboarding, crabbing and being on the water. His hobbies also included collecting watches, guns, audio equipment and knives. Mr. Waldecker enjoyed visiting Mexico and loved Mexican & Thai food. He was known to be stubborn as anything, marching to the beat of his own drum. Described as being a big teddy bear though, with a heart of gold. Mr. Waldecker was also intelligent in politics and history and could recite facts and trivia, from 20 years ago, off the top of his head. He will be greatly missed.
Mr. Waldecker is survived by his daughters, Chrystal Noonan-Dy (Duke) and Courtney Waldecker-Sumpter (Kevin Jr); his sisters, Dorothy Sandusky (the late Melvin Jr.) and Catherine Jester (Dennis); 1 grandchild, Devon Edge; 1 great nephew, Oliver Kunkoski; and nieces, Gabrielle Kunkoski (Brian II) and Bethany Sandusky (David Garland) and nephews Brandon Jester (Katie) and the late Dennis Jester Jr. (Brittany)
