Walter F. Cervenka, 85, a longtime resident of Pasadena and formerly of Baltimore, MD, died on April 17, 2020 at his home.
Mr. Cervenka was born on June 20, 1934 in Baltimore, MD to the late Walter and Adelaide Cervenka. After graduating from the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, he attended the University of Maryland. He then worked in the family automotive repair business and eventually began a career as a machinist with the Lever Brothers Company where he retired after 30 years of service. Outside of work, Walter was passionate about racing boats and cars and building high performance engines, winning over 150 class races in drag racing. He also enjoyed boating, bowling, and traveling.
Mr. Cervenka is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Betty Cervenka; sons, Walter R. Cervenka and his wife, Dawn, and John C. Cervenka; and 2 grandchildren, Amanda and Arynn.
Funeral services and interment are private.
