Walter John Budka, 51, a lifelong resident of Maryland, died on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center
He was born on May 4th, 1973 in Baltimore, Maryland. Walter received a certificate of completion from Marley Glen Special School in 1994. He competed in the Special Olympics from the late 1980's into the 2000’s receiving a gold medal in swimming, wheelchair races, hockey, and skiing. He bowled for the Handicap Athletic League (HAP) where he received many awards. He also enjoyed collecting baseball and football cards and he loved to watch sports, especially the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens.
Mr. Budka is survived by his parents Sandra and James Randall Jones; his sister Kimberly Brown and her children Aaliyah, Danielle, Kaycee, Emmalee and Justin and his children Zachary, Ben and Stella; his step-sisters Jennifer Leach and her husband Guy and their children , and Betty Jones and her children; his aunts Cathy Jones and her children , Uncle Frank Jones and his wife Genia and their children, Uncle Fred Jones, special friend Danielle Reilly and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, June 13th, 2024 at Stallings Funeral Home Pasadena, Maryland from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm where funeral services will take place on Friday, June 14th, 2024 at 12:00 pm. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
