Virginia "Ginny" Nellie Gross, 73, a lifelong resident of Maryland, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024 in the comfort of her sister's home surrounded by loved ones.
Mrs. Gross was born February 7, 1951 in Baltimore, MD to the late Ervin, Jr. and Bessie Myers. She obtained an Associates Degree in Business Management from Howard Community College. From there, she worked as a Production Manager for GE Appliance Park East from 1970 to 1990. She also held jobs for Mac Truck, Danaher Tool, Black & Decker, AGD and General Motors. She was very successful in her career and earned many management awards. She was a member of the St. Jane Francis Senior Club on Wednesdays and a part of the Democratic Club of Reviera Beach. She was a published Author and wrote her first novel, Getting Beyond the Bridge. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, making jewelry and taking cruises. One of her favorite activities included going to the Maryland Live Casino every Tuesday with her husband. He would drop her off to play slots while he enjoyed shopping at the mall. She leaves behind not only her family, but her beloved dog, Pearl. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gross is preceded in death by her brother, Buddy Myers. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Howard Gross, Jr.; children, Howard Gross, III (Jesse), Paul Gross (Melissa); sisters, Terri Davis, Cathy Carey, and Barbara Myers; grandchildren, Harrison Gross, Bella Gross and Christopher Gross.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 15th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 where a memorial service will take place at 11:00 am. Interment is private.
