Vincent Hofmann, 86, a resident of the Pasadena and Glen Burnie areas for over 50 years died on Monday, May 1, 2023 at his home.
He was born on Sunday, March 7th, 1937 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late William Joseph Hofmann and Verna A. (Hofmann) Dishman. Mr. Hofmann was a professional truck driver for over 60 years delivering exceptional service . His passion was working with his hands to include rebuilding classic cars and home improvements. He enjoyed duckpin bowling, dancing and classic car shows/clubs.
Mr. Hofmann is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Dorothy Lee Hofmann, who took care of him through his lengthy illness. Their biggest enjoyment was spending time with their great-grandchildren, organizing charity events for the "Lost in the 50's" classic car club, the "Ghost Ryderz" car club , and building many classic cars that won award after award over the years.
Mr. Hofmann also is survived by his two daughters, Cherie Briggs and Christine Bewley and her husband, Kevin Bewley, his sister, Verna "Babe" Michael, his three grandchildren, Sabrina Lauer and her husband Ronald M. Lauer, David Hawkins, Jr. and his wife Sheila Hawkins, and Craig Briggs Jr. and his wife Carly Briggs, his nine great-grandchildren; Grace Lauer, Caleb Lauer, Brayden Hawkins, Dalton Hawkins, Hunter Hawkins, Carson Briggs, Caysen Briggs (CayCay), Cashton (Cashy) Briggs, and Chloe (CoCoBean) Briggs, his two lifetime best friends, Bob Fox, Sr. and Marvin Bury, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Craig Briggs, Sr., his brother, Albert Hofmann, and his sister, Laverne Most.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, May 5, 2023 at the Stallings Funeral Home from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12:30 pm. Interment private.
