Timothy Murray Mauritzen

Tim, a lifelong resident of Anne Arundel County, died at Baltimore Washington Medical Center on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. He was 58 years old.

Tim was born in Annapolis, Maryland, attended schools in Anne Arundel County, and graduated from Northeast High School. He worked for the Anne Arundel County Government at the courthouse in Annapolis.

Tim enjoyed traveling, attending car shows, watching NASCAR and wrestling on TV, was a fan of the Ravens and the Orioles, and attending ball games at the old Memorial Stadium. He was a faithful attendee of the Tuckahoe Steam & Gas Engine Show in Easton, Maryland, and the Annual Rattlesnake Feed in West Virginia.

Survived by his mother, Joan Reinking Mauritzen, and father, James Murray Mauritzen; sister, Linda Chadwell; nephews: Christopher Chadell (Colleen); Matthew Chadwell (Jetta); grandniece May Claire Chadwell and grandnephew Finlay Ray Chadwell; cousins: Wendy Patterson, Sonny Reinking Jr., Shannon Hurd, and Stacy Moore, in Florida.

Preceded in death by uncle, Edwin (Sonny) Reinking; grandparents: Frances Terrill and Murray James Mauritzen, Marie Reinking Fowler, Frank Lee Fowler, and George J. Reinking.

A celebration of Tim's life will be held at a later date.
