It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas McClung, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who passed away peacefully at his residence in Hebron, Maryland on Thursday, June 4, 2026. Born in Warren, Ohio on July 28, 1945, Tom lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to his family and community.
Tom was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School in Ohio and spent his career working diligently as a warehouseman. Known for his jovial spirit and unyielding optimism, Tom was an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens, embodying a passion that resonated with everyone around him. He cherished taking cruises with his dear wife, Betty McClung, whom he shared 63 wonderful years of marriage. His love for family was unparalleled, always finding joy in family gatherings and leaving behind a legacy of warmth and humor.
Tom is survived by his cherished wife Betty, his son Thomas J. McClung, Jr. and his daughter Lisa McClung. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild on the way—each of whom he adored deeply. His presence lives on in the memories of his loved ones, who will always remember his infectious laughter and kind heart.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil J. McClung and Thelma L. McClung, his daughter, Tammy Dorr, and his son-in-law Brian Mack. His love and spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those he leaves behind, bringing them comfort in the difficult days ahead.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the afternoon visitation from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and evening visitation from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland. The funeral service will follow at the same location at 8:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the American Cancer Society, honoring Tom’s life and legacy by supporting a cause close to his heart.
Tom McClung will be deeply missed but forever remembered by his loving family and friends. His spirit will live on in the joyous moments shared, the laughter extended, and the abundant love he so generously gave.
Rest in peace, Tom. Your life was a blessing and your memory, a treasure.
