Thelma Marie Morrison

Thelma Marie “Nana” Morrison, 67, a resident of Maryland for over 30 years, passed away at her family home on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 in Glen Burnie, Maryland.
 
Thelma was born July 13, 1955 in Lafayette, Louisiana to the late Ellison and Eva Green. She served honorably in the United States Army then later worked as an associate at Wal-Mart for 22 years, where she made impactful connections and was adored by her customers and colleagues. All those who encountered Nana knew her as a "comedian", constantly brightening everyone’s day with her playful humor. Nana’s enthusiasm and inviting touch allowed her to make everyone feel at home.
 
Equipped with a large and loving heart, Nana was always very kind, thoughtful and giving.  Nana never hesitated to put others before herself and her perseverance allowed her to achieve anything she set her mind to. She left a big impression on each and everyone who had the opportunity to know her. Above all, Nana was loved deeply by many.
 
Nana was blessed with a large family and was extremely family oriented. Spending quality time with her children and grandchildren was of great priority to Nana. In her free time, Nana enjoyed thrifting, sewing, arts and crafts. Nana believed in practicing prayer everyday and loved the Church. She will be missed dearly by all of her loved ones and will be forever in our hearts.
 
Thelma is survived by her daughters, Yolanda Benjamin and Rasheeda Morrison; siblings, Calvin Labbe, Allison Green, and Emma Filer; grandchildren, Jasmine Brown, Ty Bowden, Dianté Jolin, Dashia Chamberlain, Kierra Jolin, Dashaun Hood, Shania Bowden, Rihanni Bowden, Zion Kim, Kash Blalock, and Kristian Mitchell; great grandchildren, Cairo Peyton, Raelynn Johnson, Brycen Evans and Jace Burrell.
 
Friends and family may visit Saturday, November 26th from 1-3 pm and 5-7 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 where a service will be held following at 7:00 pm. Interment is private.
