Thelma Frances Hayes, 84, a resident of Berlin and formerly of Pasadena, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023 at Coastal Hospice in Ocean Pines.
Mrs. Hayes was born January 14, 1939 in Baltimore, MD to the late Clayton and Frances Willard. She worked for Anne Arundel County as a bus aide for children with disabilities until her retirement after 33 years of service. She was a homebody who enjoyed watching tv and doing crossword puzzles. She also was a part of a group called "The Lunch Bunch" and would often times go out and enjoy a meal at different restaurants with her friends. She was the type of person who never met a stranger and was described as being kind, funny and a great story teller. Above all, she loved her friends and family dearly.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hayes is preceded in death by her husband, Harley Marshall Hayes; brother, Ben Willard, and sister, Debbie Furrow. She is survived by her children, Randy Hayes and his wife Leanne, and Robin Russ and her husband Tom; brother, Clay Willard and his husband Tony Cammarata; sister, Sandy Duke and her husband Gordon; grandchildren, Lindsey Dawson, Ashley Watson and many great grandchildren.
Friends may call Sunday, May 7th from 5-9 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 where a service will be held Monday, May 8th at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Glen Haven Memorial Park immediately following the funeral services.
