Theda “Ann” Kessler, née Kane, a long-time resident of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away unexpectedly on September 2nd, 2023, while visiting family in Pasadena, Maryland. She was 92.
Ann was born on December 13th, 1930 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Thelma Neal Kane and Fred Kane. She was born and raised in Philadelphia and attended Kensington High School. She married William Kessler in 1953 and retired to Southwest Florida in 1985.
In addition to her parents, Ann is preceded in death by her husband William Kessler. She is survived by her children Debbie Iversen, Brian Kessler (Jean), and Cindy Gottsch (Greg), 7 grandchildren (Julie Iversen, Katie deVries (Mike), Christopher Iversen, Matthew Ferguson (Addie), Krista Robinson (Matt), Sara Kessler, Lindsey Kessler, 9 great grandchildren (Lukas and Jakob deVries, Charlie Iversen, Elanor, Esther, and Ezra Ferguson, Kayley, Eliza, and Titus Robinson).
Also survived by good friends Clara Large, John Iversen, and Gina Strickland.
Ann was an avid sports enthusiast of the Phillies, Eagles, Cubs, Bears, Orioles, Ravens, NHL, and NASCAR (Ross Chastain). She loved to dine out, shop and watch QVC and Hallmark movies. She enjoyed her gin martini with 3 olives, Yuengling, and margaritas at Iguana Mia. She recently returned from a cruise to Alaska. She was a longtime Bealls employee, retiring in 2018. Ann was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
