Terry Jory

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Terry Jory, a beloved resident of Pasadena, Maryland, who departed this life on Wednesday, December 11th, 2024, at the age of 65. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on Wednesday, November 25th, 1959, Terry graced this world with warmth, kindness, and a vibrant spirit that touched all who knew her.

For the past 38 years, Terry called Pasadena home, after originally hailing from Baltimore City. She was the cherished wife of Morris Gilbert Jory, her devoted partner of 38 years, and he survives her, along with their treasured family who brought immense joy to her life.

Terry is lovingly remembered by her son, Christopher Jory, and his wife Heather; her sister, Paula Morgan; her brother, Steven Zaruba; her niece, Amanda Morgan; and her cousin, Marian Wentker. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Zaruba, and her mother, Mildred Zaruba, who welcome her into their loving embrace.

A dedicated professional, Terry spent 28 years as a Human Resource Manager for Unity Insurance, where her compassion and expertise influenced many careers and nurtured a supportive work environment.

Beyond her career, Terry's life was enriched by her commitments to her community and her passions. She was a member of the Oasis Church where she served diligently as Secretary and Treasurer of Praise N Thunder, an outreach program that was dear to her heart. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her hobbies, which included boating and kayaking, often spent soaking in the serenity of nature.

Terry's zest for life extended to her social engagements, where music was a constant source of joy. She was known for her love of concerts, karaoke, and singing, where her voice resonated with happiness and enthusiasm. Some of Terry's most cherished moments were those spent with family and friends, creating memories that will be held dear by all who shared in her life.

The family will host a celebration of Terry's life, honoring her legacy and the love she shared so freely with the world on December 28, 2024 at the Oasis Church, 7459 Candlewood Rd Suite A, Hanover, MD 21076 at 2pm.
