Teresa Ann Moir

Teresa Ann Moir left this world and joined her loved ones on Saturday, March 28th. You'd never expect that she was 79 years old at her passing.

She was raised by her parents Robert and Teresa (Meany) Moir in River Edge, New Jersey until leaving for college.

She attended St. Peter the Apostle elementary school and the Academy of the Holy Angels high school, graduating in 1964. She furthered her studies at Mt. Saint Agnes College in Baltimore, graduating in 1968, and later earned a master's degree in Guidance and Counselling from Loyola University, Baltimore, in 1985.

Terry taught English in Baltimore City for 5 years at Robert Poole Middle School and went on to spend 37 successful years teaching English and serving as a Guidance Counselor with Anne Arundel County Public Schools. She was the Head of the Guidance Department at Southern High School in Harwood when she retired in 2007.

She moved to Camden Crossing in Baltimore City with her life partner of 11 years, Clint Gosnell. They enjoyed an exciting retirement while being heavily involved with their community. They loved exploring Baltimore, attending Ravens and Orioles games, travelling, and supporting athletic programs in Anne Arundel County, where Clint coached until his passing in 2015.

She enjoyed a wonderful friendship with her first husband, Bob Sopka, in the years following Clint's death.

Terry loved animals and supported many animal rights groups. Over the course of her life, Terry had 5 cats...but the joy of Terry and Clint's later years was their dog, Frankie.

Terry was someone who truly valued living and experiencing life to the fullest, and as such, a traditional funeral will not be held.

We will honor, remember, and tell unheard stories about her wonderful life...together as she would want. For the person who was such a force in many of our lives, a Celebration of Life will be held to have her friends, family, and loved ones together once more.

We will privately announce those plans in the coming months.
