Tammy Marlene Barnes, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026, at the age of 60. Born on October 8th, 1965, in Baltimore, Maryland, Tammy was a lifelong resident of Pasadena, MD, where she cultivated deep roots and lasting friendships throughout her vibrant life.

A graduate of Chesapeake High School class of 1983, Tammy dedicated over 35 years to the Department of Defense. Her career was marked by dedication, professionalism, and a passion for excellence, attributes that earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues.

Tammy's heart was full of adventure and love for life's simple joys. She was an avid traveler, particularly delighted by cruises, and her love for Disney was unmatched, leading to many cherished family trips to Disneyland, Disney World, and several Disney Cruises. Her enthusiasm for shopping and enjoyment of social media made her both relatable and engaging to her many friends.

Known for her vibrant personality and candid nature, Tammy earned the affection and respect of all who knew her. Her presence lit up any room, and she leaves behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and a zest for life that touched everyone she met.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Pat Barnes, and their cherished son, Tyler Patrick Barnes. Tammy was also a loving sister to Ronald Cooper and his wife Kelley, and the proud aunt of nephews Brandon and Blake Cooper, and great aunt to Barrett and Emersyn Cooper. Tammy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ronald Eugene Cooper and Pamela Ruth Cooper.
