Suzanne Marie (Scott) Turek

Suzanne Marie Turek, 53, died at her home on Sunday, April 30, 2023 after losing her 2 year battle with colon cancer.

She was born on April 16, 1970 to the late R. Paul Scott and Janice Scott of Pasadena. Suzanne was a 1988 graduate of Chesapeake High School and after attending AACC where she met Jim, they both transferred to UMBC and she graduated with a degree in Psychology.  Jim graduated with her with a degree in Political Science. They married a couple years later and she was employed at Lerner NY until the kids came along.

Suzanne was a very dedicated mother and stayed home with her children and didn’t start working outside of the home until they were all in school.  She was very active in the Mom’s Club and was a founding member of the Pasadena Mom’s Club 

She was a great mom and shared her love with many children and continued that even after she went back to school to teach. She taught English at Chesapeake High School and sadly lost her husband, Jim to covid in September of 2021.  

In addition to her mother, Suzanne is survived by her loving children, James, Elise, and Melissa Turek; brother, Daniel Scott, his daughter, Ella and his wife Jessica of York, PA; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Family and friends may visit on Friday, May 5 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Rd., Pasadena, MD 21122. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 6 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Chesapeake Catholic Church, 8325 Ventnor Rd, Pasadena, MD 21122. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery, after which a reception will be held at Our Lady of the Chesapeake's Gathering Place.
