Steven Renshaw

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steven Renshaw, a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend. Born on May 16, 1957, in Washington, D.C., Steven departed this life peacefully on October 25, 2025, at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, Maryland. He was 68 years old.

A graduate of Frostburg State University in 1979, Steven dedicated his professional life to the field of chemistry, working for over 30 years at Sherwin-Williams before retiring. His career was marked by dedication and expertise, and he was respected and admired by colleagues and peers.

Steven's passions extended beyond his professional life. An avid golfer, he found joy in the camaraderie and competition of the sport. For 25 years, he cherished an annual tradition with friends, traveling to Myrtle Beach for a golfing retreat every October. Most recently, he celebrated a victory in the Compass Point Wednesday night league tournament, exemplifying his enthusiasm and skill.

Family was of paramount importance to Steven. He was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Linda Custer. He is survived by his brothers, Paul Renshaw and his wife Connie, Marty Renshaw and his wife Debbie, and step-sister Jan Givens and her husband Terry. Steven also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews: Catherine, Paul Jr., Brennan, Luka, Tera, Jenna, and Justin. He is predeceased by his parents, Rosemarie Jane Renshaw and Bennett M. Renshaw Jr., and his brother, Bennett Renshaw.

Outside of work and golf, Steven found joy in the simple pleasures of life. A devoted dog lover, Steven was inseparable from his canine companions, Chloe and Pirate. A spirited fan of Jimmy Buffett, his life reflected the vibrant and joyful themes evident in the music he loved.  He also enjoyed traveling, especially to National Parks and seeing quirky roadside attractions along the way.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Steven's life at a visitation to be held at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland, on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the same location, where we will gather to honor his memory and share stories of his adventures and achievements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to an animal charity of your choice in Steven's memory, a tribute to his enduring love for animals.
