Stephen V. VanGaasbeck

Stephen “Steve” VanGaasbeck was a father to five children, and grandfather of seventeen grandchildren & great grandchildren. He worked primarily as a computer programmer and notably, once as a contractor in support of NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. Steve loved science and science fiction and was a published author of a science fiction novel, “Geblicon.” He also discovered some fossil and meteorite fragments near his home.
Stephen “Steve” VanGaasbeck went to be with his Lord & Savior on July 11, 2024. He was born in New York on August 31, 1941. He was predeceased by his parents Donald & Elsene VanGaasbeck, and his brother Jon VanGaasbeck. He is survived by his children John (Anita) VanGaasbeck, Darlene (Dan) Gentry, Joseph (Anissa) VanGaasbeck, Stephanie Galeano & Sara Schiller (Ian) and seventeen grandchildren & great grandchildren. Also surviving is his brother, Donald VanGaasbeck Jr.
