Sidney Allen Smith

Sidney Allen Smith, a lifelong resident of Virginia, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024. 

Mr. Smith was born on December 16, 1951 to the late Sidney and Virginia Smith. He was a builder who owned his own company in Fredericksburg, VA that he retired from and sold after several years of service. In his free time, Mr. Smith ran a Karaoke gig and would service bars, the local firehouse and the Moose Lodge. He had a wonderful voice and enjoyed singing until illness prevented him from doing so. He was an active member of the Brooke Fire Department and local Moose Lodge. He was a very kind hearted and giving person who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his brother, Stuart Kent Smith and sisters, Barbara Sue Sneeringer and Vicki Lynn Smith. He is survived by his daughters, Samantha Parrotte and Susan Manning; sisters, Sandi McCarthey, Joan Vanderford, Cynthia Swarthout and Stephanie Smith; and 4 grandchildren. 

A visitation will be held Saturday, April 6th at Covenant Funeral Home in Fredericksburg, VA from 10:00 am to 11:00 am where a service will begin at 11:00 am. A celebration of life will take place immediately following services at the Brooke Fire Department finishing at the Moose Lodge starting at 3:00 pm. 

A visitation will then be held Monday, April 8th from 11:00 am - 1:30 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 where a graveside service will take place at Glen Haven Memorial Park at 2:00 pm.
