Ruth E. Harthausen

Ruth E. Harthausen, 79, a resident of Hanover, MD, died on March 27, 2023 at Morningside House of Friendship Senior Living Community.

Mrs. Harthausen was born on January 1, 1944 in Baltimore, MD to the late Ray and Dora Turner. She worked for the United States Postal Service for 25 years before retiring in 2005 and moving with her husband to Camden-Wyoming, Delaware. Outside of work, Ruth was a member of the Cedarettes and a past member of Messiah United Methodist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed wine and cheese, playing cards, traveling, and listening to music.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harthausen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, the late Gregory Harthausen, Sr.. She is survived by her children, Gregory Harthausen, Jr. (Andrea) and Amy Mullen (Michael), and 5 grandchildren, Nicholas Mullen (Emiley Smith), Natalie Mullen, Emily Harthausen, Gregory Harthausen, III, and Mason Harthausen.

Family and friends may visit on Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 2-4 p.m. at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Rd., Pasadena, MD 21122 where a memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m.
