It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roger Stephenson Sr., a beloved father, brother, and cherished member of the Pasadena community. Roger passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026, at the age of 62.
Born on January 10, 1964, in Maryland, Roger was a devoted lifelong resident who carried the spirit and warmth of his hometown with him throughout his life. He found fulfillment in his work as a dedicated painter with Owings Brothers, where he spent nearly a decade before his illness. Known for his meticulous craftsmanship and vibrant outlook on life, Roger left a lasting impression on both his colleagues and clients.
Roger had a passion for life's simple pleasures. He found joy in fishing, browsing flea markets, and immersing himself in the world of antiques. His collections of jewelry and coins were a testament to his discerning eye and appreciation for history. Roger also delighted in the wonders of vegetable gardening, nurturing life from seed to harvest.
However, his most cherished role was that of a family man. Roger leaves behind a close-knit family who adored him deeply. He is survived by his loving children, Victoria Stephenson, Roger Stephenson, Jr., and Christopher Troutman, who were the pride and joy of his life and his sister, Debra Marsch, who shared in his laughter and adventures.
Roger was preceded in death by his devoted parents, Norman and Lucille Stephenson, his beloved wife, Tina Stephenson, with whom he shared a beautiful life journey and his siblings, Steve Stephenson and Peggy Durham
Family and friends are invited to honor Roger’s memory during a visitation at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland, on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A funeral service will follow the same evening at 8:00 pm at the same venue. As we bid farewell to a remarkable man, we hold his spirit close in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses, continuing Roger's legacy of generosity and community care.
Roger Stephenson Sr.'s warmth, laughter, and generous spirit touched the lives of many. Though we grieve his loss, we celebrate his life and the indelible mark he left on us all. May he rest in peace.
