Robert (Bob) Krakowski, affectionately known as "Ski", peacefully passed away on 24 June 2024, three months from his 90th birthday, at Sunrise Severna Park. Ski was born in Lopez, PA. on 25 September 1934. He served 10 years in the Air Force Security Service, and he especially enjoyed his time serving in West Germany. After his service, Ski had a long and successful career at the National Security Agency, retiring in 1995. During that time he enjoyed renting a beach house for many weeks in Rehobeth Beach, Delaware and taking ski trips with SSA ski club in the winter months.
Ski enjoyed biking, tennis, sailing and contra dancing. In retirement he became an avid Navy sports supporter with football, basketball and hockey season tickets. Ski cherished his friends and enjoyed spending time at the Fleet Reserve. He volunteered for the club by driving the Annapolis Boat Shows' shuttle for many years.
Ski will be honored in a celebration of life at the Fleet Reserve Club on 11 July at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert Krakowski's name to Sail Beyond Cancer Annapolis would be appreciated.
