It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Seaman, Jr., a beloved father, grandfather, and community advocate, who departed this life on Tuesday, August 5th, 2025. Robert, affectionately known as “Bob,” was born on Friday, May 1st, 1936, at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
Robert's life was a testament to dedication, love, and service. He resided in Pasadena, Maryland, for 49 years, deeply rooted in the community, before moving to Severna Park, where he spent his last 8 years. A graduate of Samuel Gompers Vocational School in 1953, Robert embarked on a career in the sheet metal industry and was employed by Nelson Barnes, where he proudly worked as a Sheet Metal Foreman until his retirement in the late 1990s. Robert was also a proud Army veteran, having served honorably for six years.
An exemplary volunteer, Robert gave selflessly to various organizations. He was a dedicated volunteer with Partners in Care, served as the Past Vice President of the Paradise Beach Community Association, and made a lasting impact as an Assistant Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop #829 in the 1970s.
Robert was a man of many interests, and his weekends were often filled with camping adventures, cruising, and exploring Brumwell's Flea Market. He was an avid fan of the Ravens and the Orioles and cherished every moment spent following his favorite teams.
Left to cherish Robert's memory are his loving children: sons Robert Daniel Seaman and his wife Evelyn, Michael Lawrence Seaman and his wife Louise; daughter Barbara "Bobbi" Lemay and her husband John; his brother David Seaman; and sister Mary O'Connor. He was a proud grandfather to Daniel Seaman, Jennifer Hallquist and her husband Randy, Douglas Borrelli and his wife Josephine, and Jason Seaman, and a joyful great-grandfather to Blayton, Hunter, and Layla.
Robert is reunited in eternal peace with his dear wife of 66 years, Peggy Seaman; parents, Robert Seaman Sr. and Henrietta Seaman; and brother John Bruce Seaman.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a viewing on Sunday, August 10th, with an afternoon session from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and an evening session from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 11th, 2025, at 11:00 am, also at Stallings Funeral Home. Interment will take place at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery on August 28, 2025 at 11:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, Robert's family kindly requests that donations be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital HERE, reflecting his lifelong commitment to helping others.
His legacy of love, service, and community spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing him.
