Robert James Coughlin, Jr., 76 a long-time resident of Pasadena, MD. passed away peacefully at Hospice of the Chesapeake on Friday, December 29, 2023.
He was born October 25, 1947, in Baltimore, Maryland to Catherine and Robert Coughlin, Sr.
Bob proudly and honorably served in the US Army during the Vietnam War where he earned his Bronze Star for heroism. After the military, he went on to work at Baltimore Gas & Electric until 1999. When he was younger, he enjoyed hunting deer and geese with his hunting buddies. As he got older, he enjoyed spending time connecting with friends and family, watching football, and playing with his cats.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Michael A. Coughlin. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Donna Kelley Coughlin, his daughter Michele, and his granddaughters Kayla and Alyssa (husband Byron). He is also survived by his dear sister, Mary Runk (husband David), and nephew Nathan (wife Huldah).
There will be a memorial service at Stallings Funeral Home, Saturday, January 13, 2024 beginning at 10am for time to view pictures and chat. The service will be held at 11am. Friends can join us for a reception after- Location and directions will be provided following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, Helping Up Mission, St. Jude, St. Labre Indians, or Wounded Warriors.
