Robert Clarke Obituary

Robert Ellis Clarke, 87, a resident of Glen Burnie, MD for over 60 years, died at his home on June 21, 2022.

Mr. Clarke was born in Petersburg, VA to the late George and Grace Clarke. He served in the United States Army in the mid-1950s and later began a successful career as a welder with the Steamfitters Union. He retired in the late 1980s after over 30 years of service. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed fishing and taking drives around town.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Clarke is preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Frances M. Clarke, and siblings, Melvin, Shirley, and Jane Clarke. He is survived by his son, Robert Clarke of Glen Burnie; daughters, Cynthia Goodnow of Tennessee, Pamela Bowman of Florida, and Laura Lawyer of Glen Burnie; brother, Herbert Clarke of Maryland; sister, Joan Clarke of Delaware; and 13 grandchildren.

Funeral services and interment are private.
