Richard Manning (Sours) Sellers

Richard Manning Sellers, 36, a 5 year resident of Hagerstown died on March 6, 2021 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.

He was born on March 1, 1985 in Baltimore, MD to Richard M. Sours, Sr. and Jennifer (nee Moser).

Mr. Sellers graduated from Frostburg State University in Allegany County with a Bachelors of Science in Mass Communications in 2011.

He belonged to Phi Mu Delta Fraternity.

His hobbies included singing, dancing, crafts, crocheting, and had a deep love of animals.

Mr. Sellers is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Norma Parrish, and his maternal grandfather, James E. Moser, Sr.

He is survived by his husband of 10 years, Jeffrey Lance Sellers; his father, Richard Sours, Sr. and his step-mother, Lisa Sours; his mother, Jennifer Ryan; his sisters, Rebekha Rogers and Sarah Suitt; his paternal grandfather, Frank Sours and step-grandmother, Shirley Sours; his maternal grandmother, Elva Moser; his godparents, Frank and Kathy Sours; and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren.

Friends are invited to visit at the North Glen Community Church, 508 W. Furnace Branch Road Glen Burnie, MD 21061 on Thursday from 12:00 to 2:00 PM and 5:00 to 7:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM until Noon.  A private funeral service will be held on Saturday with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (click HERE) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (click HERE).
