Richard Anthony Miller, Sr., 87, a 60 year resident of Linthicum and formerly of West Port, MD, died on September 28, 2022 at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
Mr. Miller was born on November 23, 1934 in Baltimore, MD to the late Anthony and Virginia Miller. After serving in the Army from 1957 to 1959, he completed his studies to become a Pharmacist. He would go on to work in that field for over 60 years for multiple different companies: Marley, Reeds, Rite-Aid, Arundel, and Empire. He retired in 2020. Outside of work, Richard enjoyed reading, genealogy, Civil War history, classical music, and cheering for the Ravens and Orioles. He was also a member of St. Philip Neri Roman Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Miller is preceded in death by his son, Richard Miller, daughter, Elizabeth Presti, and brother, Anthony J. Miller, Jr. He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Frances L. Miller; son, Timothy (Tricia) Miller; daughters, Nancye (Cliff) Wallace, Chris (Vincent) Dalfonzo, Teresa (Martin) Muller, Dana (Marvin) Shanks, Rebecca (Louis) Snowden, and Jennifer Loney; sisters, Janet Bemkey and Denise (Joe) Carrick; sister-in-law, Joyce Miller; 22 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 2-6 p.m. at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Rd., Pasadena, MD 21122. A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 6405 S Orchard Rd, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
