Randall "Randy" Parsons Obituary

Randall "Randy" Louis Parsons, 78, a resident of Glen Burnie and formerly of West Virginia, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2020 in his home. 

Mr. Parsons was born December 27, 1941 in Eccles, West Virginia to the late Paul and Texa Parsons. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps in the early 1960's. He worked as a Bus Driver and would drive the Lakeshore to Baltimore Route in the 1960's. He went on to work for the Naval Academy Fire Department where he became Chief for 15 years until his retirement in 1995 after 34 years of service. He then worked for Fireline from 1996-2016. Randy was a volunteer for Lombardee and Orchard Beach Fire Departments. He enjoyed building home projects and he was a part of the Raven's Roost #65. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Parsons is preceded in death by his brothers Eddie and Gerald Parsons, and sisters Paula, Jean, Joann, Phyllis, and Lynn. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Leota, son Brian C. Parsons (Stacy) of North Dakota, daughter Tammy L. Stewart (Mike) of Pasadena, sisters Bobbie Brown of South Carolina, Barbara Sullivan of Reisterstown, grandchildren Michael Stewart (Marie), Matthew Stewart, Kevin Parsons, Christopher Parsons, Bethany Parsons, and one great grandson Beau Stewart. 

Friends may call Friday, August 28th 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 where a service will be held Saturday, August 29th at 11:00 am. Interment at Glen Haven memorial park. Please be aware that, due to county-mandated COVID-19 restrictions, Stallings Funeral Home is only allowing 35 people in the building at a time and face coverings must be worn while inside.

The funeral service will also be livestreamed on Facebook (HERE) and on the obituary page.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of the Chesapeake or Solley United Method Church are appreciated.
