Phyllis M. (Sterback) Schneider

Phyllis M. Schneider, 81, a 5 year resident of Brooklyn, MD and formerly of Pasadena, MD, died on February 27, 2021 surrounded by family.

Mrs. Schneider was born on June 27, 1939 in Baltimore, MD to the late Joseph and Evelyn Sterback. She most recently worked as a cook for Sunset Restaurant for over 5 years and, before that, spent 5 years at Montgomery Wards. Outside of work, she was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and loved taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Schneider is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Donald Schneider; son, George Urban; and grandchild, Jayden. She is survived by her sons, Donald (Wendy) and Joseph Schneider; daughters, Linda Drager and Tammy Schneider-Sammons; sisters, Josephine Webb and Beverly Kinder; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, March 2 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Rd., Pasadena, MD 21122 where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 3 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Glen Haven Memorial Park. Please be aware that, due to county-mandated COVID-19 restrictions, Stallings Funeral Home is only allowing 60 people in the building at a time and face coverings must be worn while inside.
