Paul Drgos Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul William Drgos Jr., who left this world at the age of 49 on Tuesday, February 4th, 2025. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on April 14th, 1975, Paul was a lifelong resident of Pasadena, Maryland, where he filled his days with family, friends, and his passion for technology and entertainment.

A 1993 graduate of Chesapeake High School, Paul went on to attend the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), where he continued to nurture his interest in computer science. Over the course of his distinguished 31-year career as a software developer, Paul lent his expertise to many projects, most recently at Quorum. His dedication and innovation in the field left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the software community.

Beyond his professional achievements, Paul was a man of diverse interests. He was an avid poker player, often competing in tournaments where his strategic mind shone. A cinephile at heart, Paul loved watching movies and even co-hosted a popular podcast dedicated to film discussions. He cherished time spent with his children and extended family, often found gathered around the grill preparing his legendary steaks or enjoying classic episodes of "The Golden Girls" together. He was also an avid Chicago Bears fan.

Paul is survived by his beloved parents, Paul Drgos Sr. and Tina Drgos; his sons, Dalton Cyford and his wife Emily, Paul "Trey" Drgos, III and Jonas Drgos; his daughter, Sophia Drgos; and his brother, Jason Drgos. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will endure in the memories of all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will take place at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland, on Saturday, February 15th, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, followed by a memorial service beginning at 5:00 pm, officiated by Pastor Steve DeLisle. Family, friends, and all who wish to pay their respects are warmly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

In honor of Paul's life and passions, his family encourages attendees to share their favorite movie quotes and memories during the service as a tribute to his love for cinema and storytelling.
