Patricia Anne Nutter (Buchanan), age 67, passed away on April 26 in Glen Burnie, Maryland. She was born in Baltimore on April 23, 1954. Known as Pat or Trish to her family and friends, Patricia lived in Glen Burnie for the past twenty years and in Harford County for decades prior to that.
Patricia attended Hamilton Junior High School and graduated from Northern High School in 1972. She worked for a number of years at Fallston General Hospital as an x-ray film librarian and in the financial aid office at Towson University. For much of her life, she was a homemaker raising her two sons. Most recently she worked as a caretaker at Peartree House Assisted Living in Pasadena.
Patricia married Gilbert O. Nutter in 2002. They lived a happy life together, enjoying their pets, hunting trips, and traveling, making frequent getaways to West Virginia. Gilbert sadly passed away from a prolonged illness in 2009.
Patricia loved to garden and watch the wildlife in her backyard. She celebrated holidays in a big way, baking and cooking up a storm. She loved her Avon and sold the products to friends for many years. She adored her pets, especially her beloved Pekingese dogs Penny and Cody, and cat Jenga.
In addition to her husband, Patricia was predeceased by her mother Frances Buchanan and father James Buchanan, as well as her sister Mary Ellen Campell. Patricia was heartbroken to lose her beloved son Michael Fodel in 2002. The family is comforted to think of Patricia reuniting with Michael now, after so many years of missing him.
She is survived by her son Jason (Kelly) Fodel, daughter-in-law Becky (Corey) Gray, partner Stuart Morgan, brother Buck Buchanan, five grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 17th at Highland Presbyterian Church, 701 Highland Road in Street, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Patricia’s name to an animal welfare organization of your choice.
