Patricia Catherine Ditch

Patricia Catherine Ditch, 85, a 63 year resident of Glen Burnie, Maryland, died on April 28, 2021.

Mrs. Ditch was born on April 24, 1936 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Joseph and Josephine nee Weiler Gordon.  Patricia was a woman of many talents, but her greatest talent by far was her ability to love and care for her family, both immediate and extended.  She was an excellent housekeeper and an attentive mother.  Mrs. Ditch also worked as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Robert Goren for more than 20 years.  She was a dedicated member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Glen Burnie, which later merged with other Glen Burnie parishes to become Christ the King Catholic Church.  Patricia honored her faith, demonstrating it by teaching Sunday School and Catechism classes for over 30 years.  Outside of her work and church activities, she enjoyed painting, shopping, traveling, taking cruises, and, in her younger years, dancing.  Her latest adventure was a Japanese watercolor painting class via Zoom.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ditch is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Burnell Allen Ditch, her son, Anthony Joseph Ditch, and her sisters Helen Regina Svitak and Doris Marie Silfies.  She is survived by her sons Michael James (wife Amelia) Ditch, Brian Edward (wife Susan) Ditch and Kevin Allen Ditch; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, Maryland  21122.  A funeral mass will take place on Wednesday, May  5 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 7436 B & A Blvd., Glen Burnie Maryland 21061.  A private interment will take place at the Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
