Nicola Pellegrini Obituary

Nicola Pellegrini, a cherished husband, devoted father, and beloved grandfather, passed away on Sunday, March 23rd, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on Wednesday, October 1st, 1947, in the quaint town of Gissi, Italy, Nicola was the cherished son of the late Giovanni and Maria Pellegrini.

Nicola honorably served in the United States Army before establishing a formidable career as a linguist, which spanned over three decades. His love for languages and cultures was paralleled only by his commitment to his family and community.

Nicola lived a life full of passion and dedication. He was an avid gardener, skillfully tending to his quarter-acre garden, where his cornucopia of fresh fruits and vegetables served as a testament to his loving care. He also devoted much of his time to coaching a wide range of sports and activities, always encouraging and inspiring those around him. His vibrant sense of humor, filled with endless "dad jokes" and witty puns, brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.

He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Penelope Ann Pellegrini, and their sons, Jason (Kathleen Turner) and Jeremy Pellegrini. Nicola was also a cherished brother to Ann, Ida, and Domenica, and a doting grandfather to Nicolas, Tyler, Liliana, Meghan, Alessandra, Roman, and Mia.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland, on Friday, March 28th, 2025, with an afternoon visitation from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and an evening visitation from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Chesapeake on Saturday, March 29th, 2025, at 10:00 am. The interment will be held privately.

Nicola's life was a symphony of love, laughter, and learning. Though he has left us, his legacy and spirit will continue to thrive in the lives of those he touched. His family wishes to thank all who supported them during this time and take comfort in knowing that Nicola now rests peacefully, reunited with his beloved parents, Giovanni and Maria.
