Nicholas Charles Hovaker

Nicholas Charles Hovaker, 63, a resident of Pasadena for over 25 years died on October 23, 2023 at University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born on August 6, 1960 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Alma "Betty" Elizabeth and Nicholas John Hovaker.

Nick worked at GSFC for 24 years until his passing.  He was a member of the Anne Arundel County Beekeepers Association.  In his spare time he enjoyed watching the Orioles and Ravens games and beekeeping.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Tina Hovaker, his children Nick Hovaker, II and his wife Heather Schmidt, Justin Hovaker and his wife Hannah, and Maya Hovaker; and he was "Pops" to his grandson Jackson. He is also survived by his sisters, Carol Connor, Cathy Norris, Carla Nochera and her husband Cisco, and Cindy Shaffer and her husband Junior; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit on Saturday October 28th, 2023 from 3:00 to 4:30 pm at the Stallings Funeral Home where a memorial service will begin at 4:30 pm.  Interment private.  Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association  DC/MD/VA Chapter by clicking HERE.
