Nara Elswick

Nara E. Elswick, 90, a 68 year resident of Glen Burnie, Maryland, died on Monday, June 3, 2024 at her son's residence in Laurel, Delaware.

She was born on Thursday, August 31st, 1933 in Staunton, Virginia to the late Robert H. and Ora M. Swisher. She grew up in Craigsville outside of Staunton, Virignia and moved to Glen Burnie, Maryland in 1956 with her first husband, the late Charles "Buck" Bealefeld. Mrs. Elswick worked for Maryland Glass for 18 years during the 50's and 60's and later was a homemaker. She was a past member of the Glen Burnie Moose and a current member of the Harrington Moose in Delaware. Nara loved to talk and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also loved to go out dancing and listening to Country and Blue Grass music.

In addition to her parents and her first husband she is preceded in death by her second husband Bernard Elswick; her step children Dennis Elswick, Debbie Hunter and Dorene Elswick; her sisters Emmagene Powell, Betty Clement, and Josie O'Brien.

She is survived by her son Gary G. Elswick, Sr. and his wife, Valerie Elswick; her step-son Dana Elswick; her sister Flossie Stuples; her brother Pete Swisher; her grandson Gary Elswick, Jr. and her great-granddaughter Rhea Elswick.

Family and friends may visit on Monday, June 10th, 2024 at Stallings Funeral Home Pasadena, Maryland from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm where funeral services will begin at 12:00 pm. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park.
