Montague Hutt Obituary

Montague J. Hutt, 89, a 60 year resident of Pasadena, MD, died on Monday, January 10, 2022 at his home.

Mr. Hutt was born on Thursday, October 13th, 1932 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Montague J. Hutt Sr. and Genevieve Hutt. 

He served honorably in the US Navy during the Korean War.

Mr. Hutt began his working career as an Electronics Tester for the Bendix Radio Corporation where he met his wife. From there he began working at Bethlehem Steel as an Electrical Worker until 1959 when he began working for the Baltimore City Police Department in the Motorcycle and Traffic Division until his retirement in 1980.  During that time he also began working for Chesapeake Limousine Service as a driver from 1976 until 2005 and the Motor Vehicle Administration as a Drug and Alcohol Case Reviewer and Driver Improvement Specialist and an Administrative Specialist from 1987 until 2009.

Mr. Hutt was a member of Community United Methodist Church where he served as an usher, Treasurer for the United Methodist Men, on the administrative board, the Pastor Parish Committee, and the Board of Trustees.  He was the President of the East Anne Arundel Club, a life member and Past Adjutant of the Veterans of Foreign War Post #2462, a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Baltimore City Retired Police Association, Past Flotilla Commander of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, the Boumi Temple, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry 32nd degree, the Mid-Atlantic Shrine Association of Provost Guard, the Glen Burnie Masonic Lodge A.F & A.M #213, the Dr. John Coats Memorial Lodge Charter Member, and the Past President of the Bahama Beach Improvement Association.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hutt is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Delores J. Hutt.  He is survived his children Linda Forsyth and Rhonda Bilson, his siblings;  William Hutt Sr. (Sue),  Pat Teal (Edward), and Betty Ruhe (Fred), his grandchildren; Casey Bilson (Ryan), Rebecca Bilson (Logan), Rusty Mullan, Benny Gischel (Whitney), Stephen Reyes, and Ricky Knapp and his great grandchildren; Alyssa, Audrey, Maren, Grayson, Liam, Caleb, Jayden, Jackson, Justin, Maverick and Tristan.

Friends may visit on Sunday, January 16, 2022 from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, P.A.
