Milton Oliver Duvall, of Lake Shore, Maryland, passed away on Saturday Sept. 7, 2024, at the age of 88.
A well-known local musician for almost 70 years, he was also a gifted athlete in his youth, excelling in basketball, ice hockey, and baseball. He served many years on the Baltimore City Police Department. Milt was a lifelong resident of Anne Arundel County, where he fine-tuned his interest in local history to become a respected and self-educated historian, often sought out for his detailed expertise on the American Civil War. He was also cherished for his wit, unique storytelling abilities, willingness to mentor others, and his Christian devotion to his family.
He is preceded in death by his late wife, Shirlemae Duvall, and is survived by two daughters, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
