Mildred M. Messenger, 84, a resident of Pasadena, MD for over 50 years, died on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Hospice of the Chesapeake in Pasadena, MD
She was born on Thursday, July 27th, 1939 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Harry M. Homens and Estelle M. Homens. Mrs. Messenger was a homemaker. She grew up in the Catholic church but later became a member of Grace Baptist Church in Riviera Beach. In her free time she enjoyed dancing, playing bingo at the Lake Shore Fire House, crocheting, working jigsaw puzzles, and watching television especially the Hallmark and Turner Movie Classics as well as the Young and Restless and the Bold and Beautiful.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Albert C. Messenger and 6 siblings. She is survived by her children Cathy E. Bowen, Sandra M. Schloer, Deborah A. Fake and her husband Donald, Jr., and David W. Messenger; her grandchildren Ginger, Nick, Kate, John, Jessica, Donald, III, Hunter "Kass" and Christian; 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Family and friends may visit on Saturday, December 9th, 2023 at Stallings Funeral Home Pasadena, Maryland from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm where a memorial service will take place at 8:00 pm. A private interment will take place at Glen Haven Memorial Park at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by clicking HERE.
