It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Brandon Swallop, a beloved son, brother, and friend, who left us on Tuesday, May 5th, 2026, at the age of 41. Michael was a resident of Severn, MD, and was born on Wednesday, October 3rd, 1984, in Mt. Pleasant, PA.
Michael's life was marked by passion and dedication, both in his work and personal interests. A civil engineer by profession, he made significant contributions to his field through his dedication, creativity, and hard work. Outside of his professional life, Michael was a cherished member of the Weimaraner Club of America. His love for dogs, particularly his own Addy and Vandy, was evident in every aspect of his life. He was a devoted foster for Weimaraners and played an active role in the organization, running field trials and serving as the secretary of the group. Michael's cheerful and fun personality endeared him to everyone he met, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know him.
Michael is survived by a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his father, Michael J. Swallop of Frederick, MD, and mother, Cristie Hagedorn and her husband Kevin; his dear brother, Matthew Swallop; and half-sister, Allison Brennan. He also leaves behind step-siblings Clifford and Alexia Rookstool and his grandmother, Larna Swallop, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. His grandfather, Robert J. Swallop, and grandmother, Judy Roach, preceded him in death but remain a guiding presence in spirit.
The family of Michael Brandon Swallop would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who have shown their support during this difficult time. In honor of Michael's life, memorial contributions may be made to the Weimaraner Club of America by clicking HERE.
Michael's spirit will continue to live on in the laughter shared, the lives he touched, and the memories treasured by all who knew him.
