Michael Edward Harmon

Michael Edward Harmon, 73, of Annapolis, MD, passed away on March 3, 2021.

Mr. Harmon was born on January 19, 1948 to the late Ewell Emerson Harmon, Sr. and Frances Edna (Cannon) Harmon of Philadelphia, PA. The family moved to Pasadena, MD in 1950. In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his brothers John Harmon, Bernard "Chucky" Harmon, sister-in-law Yoko and brother-in-law Kenneth. He is survived by his siblings Ewell Harmon, Jr. (Patricia), Kathy Harmon Burkhard, Christina Harmon Nichols (Dan Demers), William "Bill" Harmon (Deann), daughters Jennifer, Shannon, and Levet Harmon, and his very best friend, John Andrew Sircovics.

Mike was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served with the 101st Army Airborne Division. He was honorably discharged in 1975 after 6 years of service and was awarded the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Devices 60, and a couple Purple Heart Medals. He was also recognized for being the number one sharpshooter (M-14).

After returning from the service, Mike moved to Westchester, PA and worked for the U.S. Postal Service. Then, leaving Pennsylvania, Mike traveled the U.S., living in various states for years, before finally moving back to Maryland. He knew and had many friends and will be missed and always loved by his friends and family.

Friends may call Thursday, March 11th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 where a service will begin at 1 pm. Interment will be private but will be held at the Crownsville Veterans Cemetery. The funeral service will also be livestreamed on Stallings Funeral Home's Facebook page (click HERE) and at the bottom of the obituary page.

Please be aware that, due to county-mandated COVID-19 restrictions, Stallings Funeral Home is only allowing 60 people in the building at a time and face coverings must be worn while inside.
