Matthew Rostek, Sr. Obituary

Matthew S. Rostek, 79, a resident of Pasadena for 55 years, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020 in his home. 

Mr. Rostek, "Steve" was born September 11, 1940 in Baltimore, MD to the late, Peter Paul Rostek & Estelle (Lepkowski) Rostek. He worked in the elevator industry in construction and as an inspector for Social Security for 35 years until he retired in 1997. Steve loved his local Baltimore sports teams, the Baltimore Ravens & Orioles and would always tune in at game time. He was also an avid fan of his granchildrens' sporting events and could be found on the Panther's field, or at the local high schools watching football, wrestling, baseball & cheerleading. He liked to fish, eat crabs, drink his beer & tend to his vegetable garden.  

In addition to his parents, Mr. Rostek is preceded in death by his wife Colleen (McKean) Rostek and son Matthew Steven Rostek, Jr. He is survived by his son Brian Rostek(Mary Grace) of Deleware, daughters Terry Willis (Kenny) of Linthicum, MD, Lisa Schmidt (John) of Pasadena, MD, grandchildren Samantha and Austin Lecorchick, Owen and Tori Schmidt, Kenneth, Hayley, Dylan and  Karleigh Willis, Matthew Rostek, III, and great grandson Bryce Evans. 

Due to the restrictions mandated by Governor Hogan, family has chosen to keep services private to help protect the health of the public. However, a service will be streamed Thursday, May 28th at 12:00 p.m. for the public on Stallings Funeral Home's Facebook page (click here) and at the bottom of the obituary page.
