Mary M. (Soter) Soter-Smith

Mary M. Soter-Smith, 80, a 60 year resident of Glen Burnie, MD, died on Monday, May 6, 2024 at her home.

She was born on Friday, August 27th, 1943 in Baltimore, MD to the late Richard and Myrtle Soter. Mrs. Soter-Smith worked as an auto parts manager for RPS Auto Parts and Huber Bus and Large Vehicles. She was a member of the Glen Burnie Moose. Mrs. Soter-Smith enjoyed line dancing and even won the line dancing competition for the Senior Olympics in 1998. She was also an avid supporter of all animal causes and the Wounded Warriors.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 10 years, James H. Smith and her siblings Richard and Helen. Mrs. Soter-Smith is survived by her children Douglas J. Smith (Robin) and Laura Stewart (Tommy); her siblings Donald, Cathy, and Fran and 3 grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm at the Stallings Funeral Home where a memorial service will begin at 4:00 pm that same day. Interment private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a local no kill animal shelter of your choosing.
