Mary Louise Johnson

Mary Louise Johnson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21st, 2026, at the age of 80. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on Friday, June 22nd, 1945, Mary was known for her unwavering dedication to her family and community.

Mary spent over 30 wonderful years residing in Pasadena, Maryland, where she created a loving home and a lifetime of cherished memories. A proud graduate of Southern High School, class of 1963, Mary's most fulfilling role was that of a homemaker, dedicating her life to nurturing her family. Her devotion to her daughter, Teresa Gossage, and her grandson, Mark Gossage Jr., was unparalleled, and her influence will be felt for generations through her great-grandsons, Andrew and Benjamin Gossage.

Mary is survived by her husband of 62 years, Leroy J. Johnson, who was her steadfast partner in life. She leaves behind her daughter, Teresa Gossage, and her husband, Mark Sr.; her grandson, Mark Gossage Jr., and his wife, Patricia; and her great-grandsons, Andrew and Benjamin Gossage; and her sister, Harolyn Cummings. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Louise Pfisterer, whom she has now joined in eternal rest.

A woman of great faith and familial devotion, Mary found immense joy in raising her children and grandchildren. She was known for her warm hospitality and the love she poured into every moment spent with her family. Her legacy is one of love, kindness, and generosity.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during an afternoon visitation on Friday, April 24th, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and an evening visitation from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland. A funeral service celebrating Mary's life will be held on Saturday, April 25th, 2026, at 10:00 am at the same location. Interment Lakeview Memorial Park.

Mary Louise Johnson's spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
