Vienna, MD – Mary Jackson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the age of 86. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on October 28, 1939, Mary was a cherished resident of Vienna, MD, known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Werner Jackson, her beloved son Werner "Bubby" Jackson, her great-grandson Noah Ginevan, her parents, William Lee and Anna Mary Jones, and her siblings Louis, Elmer, Rudolph, Russell, Charles, William, and Richard Jones, as well as her sisters Isabelle Haney and Anna May Piacentini.
Mary devoted many years of her life working as a secretary in the dietary department at Plaza Manor Nursing Home in Glen Burnie. She later brought her skills and dedication to as a secretary of Redmond's Towing and Redmond's Rolloff Service in Pasadena, where she continued to contribute her expertise until her retirement in 2011.
Mary is survived by her three loving children: Mary Ann Redmond (Patrick) of Vienna, MD, Cindy Lee Redmond (Thomas) of Baltimore, MD, and William Michael Jackson (Kathy) of Tennessee, David Jackson (Kelly) of Glen Burnie, MD. She also leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter in her grandchildren: Duane Jackson (Michele), Angela Dery (Bruce), Michael Goldthwaite (Jessica), Shawn Goldthwaite, T. Edward Redmond (Michael Rose), Ashley White (Joey), Megan Richter (Ted), Alyssa Ginevan (Jerry), Olivia Jackson (Tom), Heather Sheehan (Mitchell), John "Jake" Jackson (Bethanie), Tina Locke (Nate), and Patrick Redmond.
Mary was immensely proud of her great-grandchildren: Tyler G. Jackson, Clay Jackson, Tyler M. Sakowicz, Nathan Sakowicz, Darren Goldthwaite, Kyle Goldthwaite, Ashlyn Goldthwaite, Merrick Redmond, Frankie Redmond, Gunnar Redmond, Jacob Heinlein, Jay White, Bayleigh White, Jackson Richter, Myles Richter, Oliver Richter, Lily Richter, Owen Jackson, Mason Jackson, Jerry Ginevan, Colton Ginevan, Laylah Ginevan, Hunter Ginevan, Dakota Sheehan, Logan Sheehan, Andrew Bathon, Kimberly Sprinkle, and Kelly Sprinkle. Her great-great-grandchildren, Deonta McLaughlin, Sanaa McLaughlin, and Denzel McLaughlin will also carry forward her memory.
In life, Mary enjoyed the simple pleasures of playing bingo, losing herself in a good book, and using her tablet to connect with friends and family. Her infectious laughter and genuine care for others will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Friends and family are invited to visitation on Tuesday, May 19th from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 where a service will be held on Wednesday, May 20th at 10 am. Interment will take place immediately following services at Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Coastal Hospice by clicking HERE
