Mary Lou Bailey

Mary Lou Bailey, 94, a resident of Glen Burnie, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 in her home. 

Mrs. Bailey was born September 13, 1927 in Elgood, WV to the late Doris and Mamie White. She worked for the Anne Arundel County Public School System as a Teacher for 38 years until her retirement. She was a volunteer at Partners In Care and a member of the Brooklyn Community United Methodist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed doing yardwork, walking on the B & A trail with friends, bowling with her league and traveling. She loved trips to the beach and visiting home in West Virginia. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bailey is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Bailey, Sr., 9 siblings; Hugh Edgar White, D.L. White, Ward White, Roy White, Bill White, Juanita Ferguson, Bernice McGuire, Ruth Updike, Ann Cheatwood, and grandson Jeffrey Dolch. She is survived by her son Jimmy Bailey, Jr., daughter Cheryl Bailey, grandchildren Stacie and her husband Michael, Derek, Brooke and her husband Brandon, and great grandchildren Courtney, Kylie, Kendall, Hannah, Morgan and Emilie. 

Friends may call Friday, October 8th from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122. A memorial service will take place Saturday, October 9th at 11:00 at the Brooklyn Community United Methodist Church, 110 Townsend Avenue, Brooklyn, MD 21225. Interment is private.
