It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Martha Bell, a cherished resident of Pasadena, Maryland, who left us peacefully on Monday, February 24th, 2025, at the age of 100. Born on a picturesque Sunday, October 19th, 1924, in Macon, Georgia, Martha Bell gracefully embraced the journey of life with warmth and kindness for over a century.
For more than 65 years, Martha made her home in Pasadena, Maryland, where she enriched the community with her gentle spirit and compassionate nature. A devoted homemaker, Martha was the heart of her family, always quick to show her love through actions and nurturing care.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Homes L. Allen and Minnie L. Allen, her devoted husband, Frederick E. Bell, Sr. and her dear son, Frederick E. Bell, Jr. Martha is survived by her loving son, David A. Bell and his wife Michelle, who cherishes her memory; her dear sister, Jean Pompanio; her daughter-in-laws Joan Franklin and Deborah Bell; her adored grandchildren, Mary Bell, Frederick 'Ricky' Bell, and Jennifer Andres; and four precious great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.
In her younger years, Martha found elegance and grace in figure roller skating. Together with her husband, she enjoyed countless evenings bowling at Sandusky's, where they forged lifelong friendships and shared innumerable laughs. Her passion for flower gardening brought color and beauty to her home, while crossword puzzles kept her mind sharp and agile.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Martha's life and legacy at Stallings Funeral Home, Pasadena, Maryland. An afternoon visitation will take place on Monday, March 3rd, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, followed by an evening visitation from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The Funeral Service, officiated by Jeff Kern, will be held on Tuesday, March 4th, 2025, at 10:00 am at the same location. Interment Lorraine Park Cemetery.
Martha Bell leaves behind an enduring legacy of love, kindness, and selfless devotion. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
