Marlene Piereman Obituary

Millsboro, DE – Marlene Esther Piereman, cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 6th, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on September 27th, 1941, in Baltimore, Maryland, Marlene led a life full of passion, joy, and love. 

A devoted mother, she is survived by her children, Justine Traynor and her husband Leonard, and Christopher Piereman and his wife Debra; her grandchildren, Jenna Coverdale, Sean Piereman, Madeline Traynor, and Katherine Traynor; and her great-grandchildren, Sophia Coverdale, Oliver Coverdale, and Myles Piereman. Marlene’s beloved cat, Alex, also survives her, a constant companion bringing her much joy and comfort in her later years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Esther Goray, her husband Harry Piereman, and her brother, Paul "Sonny" Goray.

Marlene was well-known for her extroverted personality and her straightforward, meticulous nature. She brought light and laughter into every room she entered, whether it be through sharing a meal of her favorite steamed crabs or engaging in friendly competition playing cards. Her love for baking, reading, and spending time by the beach reflected her vibrant, multifaceted character. An animal lover at heart, Marlene shared her home with many pets over the years. Before embracing motherhood, she even dabbled in modeling, capturing the grace and poise that would define her presence throughout her years.

Her professional life saw her as a dedicated receptionist at North Arundel Hospital, where her organizational skills and approachable demeanor made her beloved by colleagues and clients alike. In Millsboro, Delaware, she was an active participant in the Senior Bowling League, forming lasting friendships and memories.

A visitation will be held at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland, on Monday, March 16th, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 pm. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend, celebrate Marlene's life, and say their final goodbyes. Interment will take place immediately following the funeral service at Glen Haven Memorial Park. 

Marlene Esther Piereman will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy will continue to live on in the cherished memories of those she leaves behind.
