Mark Corcoran Obituary

Arnold, MD - Mark Corcoran passed away on Monday, April 14th, 2025, at the age of 68. Born in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, on Thursday, May 10th, 1956, Mark brought joy, wisdom, and warmth to everyone who was fortunate to know him. He was deemed "Papa Bear" a role he embraced wholeheartedly for his family and friends.

Mark spent his lifelong career in wireless communications, where he was both a visionary and dedicated professional. Beyond his career, Mark was a man of many passions, including fishing, hunting, camping, reading, and enjoying fine bourbon and cigars. Mark's favorite fishing was along the shorelines of Hatteras Island, North Carolina where he loved to surf fish. He was an active supporter and member of The Outer Banks Preservation Association, The North Carolina Beach Buggy Association Life, and the Delaware Mobile Surf-Fishermen.

Mark was an ardent lacrosse coach for over a decade, leading all three of his daughters through their formative years in the sport with the St. Mary's Youth Lacrosse Association. From 1999 to 2004, he shared his love and understanding of lacrosse as an assistant coach for the Anne Arundel County Crosse Over Girls Lacrosse Program. He later returned to the field to coach his granddaughter, further cementing his legacy as a guiding figure on and off the field.

A dedicated family man, Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Faith Corcoran; his daughters, Courtney Booth, Lauren Corcoran, and Jamie Dean; his cherished grandchildren Grace, James, Hayden, and Rhett; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. A devoted brother to Candace Corcoran, Joel Corcoran, and Patrick Corcoran, Mark is predeceased by his father, Joseph N. Corcoran, mother, Rose M. Corcoran, and sister, Mary Corcoran.

His family extended through his sons-in-law, Wally Booth, Eric Williams, and TJ Dean, all of whom he warmly welcomed into his life.
