Margaret McQuade Obituary

Margaret Elizabeth McQuade, a cherished resident of Clifton Forge, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on September 14, 1945, in Baltimore, Maryland, Margaret was a beacon of love and kindness, touching the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Margaret grew up in a loving household and was preceded in death by her parents, Charles R. Tucker and Florence E. Drager; her beloved spouse, Richard McQuade; son, Charles Sammons; and brother, Theodore Drager. Despite the challenges she faced, Margaret's spirit was unwavering, and her capacity for love knew no bounds.

A devoted mother and homemaker, Margaret is survived by her three sons, along with an expansive and treasured family including 26 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Margaret found immense joy in her family, and she held each member close to her heart.

Her life's work centered around caring for others, particularly children, and she had an immense love for animals. Throughout her life, she provided a home to many dogs and a few cats, finding solace and companionship in their presence. Her home was a welcoming space, filled with warmth and laughter, where friends, family, and pets thrived.

Margaret was passionate about crocheting and reading, finding comfort in the art of both. Music was a constant joy, with a particular fondness for Andrea Bocelli, whose voice brought her peace. An avid fan of wrestling and television, Margaret's household echoed with lively conversations and laughter at the latest escapades of her favorite Ravens football team.

Margaret leaves behind a profound legacy of compassion and community. Her life was a testament to love in its purest form, and her gentle impact will be felt for generations to come.

Though she may be gone, her spirit continues to live on in our hearts, watching over us with the same love and care she gave so freely in life.
